Glory Wideman, ACC/EDU/HHC
Glory Wideman is the Outreach Program Coordinator for B.Fit! Wellness program @ The Boston Home since 2009.She Provides Specialized planned and therapeutic recreation services to members at this outpatient community based day program. B.Fit! Wellness services provides life-long living opportunities to individual and their families with MS and other progressive neurological diseases. Her professional strength in individualized programming, leadership skills, quality of life, documentation, and team building is facilitated in program sessions which include educational training, community reintegration, leisure education, resource awareness, and a wide variety of modalities.
Gloria has worked in the Therapeutic Recreational / Activities Director capacities since 1981 and spending two years in early child hood development (Research in Play Therapy) but her true passion is working in long term care. She is an approved MEPAP instructor to teach MEPAP 2nd Edition for continuing education courses (NCCAP approved)
Education: BS Health education and Physical Education, Master studies in Sports Medicine, and Recreational Therapy. An Activity Consultant Certified (ACC, HHC, AD, EDU) through NCCAP. Respite Companion trainer (REST), Tai Chi for Rehabilitation Instructor from Dr. Paul Lam (Tai Chi Health Institute), Person-Centered Dementia Care: A habilitation Therapy Trainer (Alzheimer’s Association), Dinning Assistant Instructor as defined in CMS 2131-F (MDPH).
