Clinical and Curriculm Advisory Board

NCCAP relies on the academic and educational expertise of our external Curriculum Advisory Board to ensure the quality and consistency of our Certification Standards and Curriculums.

The Advisory Board is composed of subject matter experts and educators from a wide range of specializations across the aging, long-term care and person-centered care and services. It also includes expertise in the training and development of the frontline and direct support workforce across the continuum of care

Dr. Steven Buslovich, MD, MSHCPM. Medical Director for Kaleida Health Systems

Dr. Buslovich is a Geriatrician with BLT Medical Group and works as the Medical Director for Kaleida Health Systems in upstate NY. Through his work with the NY State Center for Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Science, he founded Patient Pattern, a health care technology start-up providing mobile and scalable evidence-based clinical and administrative decision support software that helps deliver optimal outcomes for frail patients. Dr Buslovich pioneered the concept of “Behavioral Rounds” in his geriatric practice which combines the competencies of the medical and social model of person-centered care. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Science and a committee member of the American Geriatrics Society and the American Medical Director Association. He was a Geriatrics Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai after completing his Masters in Health Care Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, and his Doctor of Medicine
